The Curve community has proposed the "Close All Elixir Gauges" initiative, aiming to cease the distribution of CRV tokens to the associated pools.
BlockBeats News, November 8th, a proposal was initiated by Curve community member LlamaRisk to "Disable All Elixir Market Gauges." The proposal argues that shutting down the gauges for relevant pools can prevent CRV emissions from flowing into the corresponding emissions pool.
The proposal notes that Elixir, the DeFi protocol behind the synthetic stablecoin deUSD (and its staking derivative sdeUSD), officially halted the minting and burning of these two tokens on November 6th to 7th, 2025. The primary reason cited was the collapse of its primary counterparty, Stream Finance.
